This Privacy Policy explains what information My Fresh Gists (https://myfreshgists.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who reads the site, comments on posts or contacts us.
Who We Are
My Fresh Gists is an independent website that publishes guides on TV, satellite and streaming services, internet and everyday tech problems. You can contact us at myfreshgists@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. An anonymised version of your email may be checked with the Gravatar service to display your profile picture, under Automattic’s privacy policy.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and email address only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list without your permission.
Push notifications
If you choose to receive browser notifications about new posts, the notification service stores a device token so it can send them. You can switch notifications off at any time in your browser settings.
Site statistics
We use standard tools to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. These tools use cookies and similar technology and report information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. They do not tell us who you are.
Advertising and Cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and some other regions are asked for consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies may change how some parts of the site work, but you can still read every post.
Embedded Content
Some posts include embedded videos or content from other sites, such as YouTube. These behave as if you visited the other site directly, and that site may collect data about you under its own privacy policy.
Links to Other Websites
Our posts link to official websites and other useful resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, so please read their policies when you visit them.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Comments and their details are kept so that conversations stay readable and returning commenters are recognised. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you. You can ask us to delete your comments or messages at any time.
Your Rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email myfreshgists@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
